I have a bachelor's degree in Music Composition and New Media from St. Cloud State University. While there I worked in modern and classic music. I was also a teacher's assistant in the Music Department, focused on course Rock and Roll History. From a volunteer perspective, I taught piano at the Boys and Girls Club. Part of my coursework included music education, which took me inside an elementary classroom. After graduation, I continued to work with children, teaching computer programs in after-school workshops, and I tutored music and math. There is a connection between music and the logic of math, and I apply the process of learning music to the steps in learning math. Once you learn a few notes, you can create an entire piece. I live in Hugo, Minnesota. In my spare time, I like to watch science and fantasy programs on television and work in visual arts such as image editing and design.
